Announcement: Symposium Returns Sunday, October 21

We are off for a new year of reflections, ideas, new books… and the thoughts and visions of some of the giant thinkers of history. A few changes this year include the following:
1. There will be no charge. The last three sessions of last year went far beyond all expectations with DONATIONS only. A basket at the front table marked DONATIONS took care of all bills as well as compensation for my time and energy.
2. Out of consideration for my energy and age, we will meet EVERY OTHER WEEK. Leslie and the Tennis Club have been absolutely WONDERFUL in working with me on this schedule they have made up from Oct. 21, 2012 through July 7, 2013. I will have the dates on a clipboard at the front desk with paper and pen for those who want to write it down.
From past history, the first session of a new season always brings surprises. Sometimes we have had to set up extra chairs. Other times the 70 or so chairs set up by “guessing” are not filled … until people remember the dates.
The first session will be an introduction to the life and work of a spiritual giant, Krishnamurti. In 18 years, I have never devoted an entire session to this man who brought to his door in Ojai, California some of the great human beings of this world for counsel. The Dalai Lama called him “one of the greatest thinkers of the age.” Others who sought him out incuded Joseph Campbell, Dr. Jonas Salk, D.H. Lawrence, Aldoux Huxley, Deepak Chopra, and Stravinsky.
It will be an educational and inspirational opening. See you there.
