The sexuality of Jesus

“The Sexuality of Christ in Renaissance Art” received rave reviews several years ago when it was first released. It was written by Leo Steinberg, who originally delivered the material at a Columbia University Seminar and was honored by the College Art Association of America with its annual award.

Those who find expressions of sexuality offensive will, no doubt, not want anyone to look at the pictures. Our ‘born again’ U.S. Attorney General recently had a nude statue covered with cloth so that her bare breasts would not be visible. The present Bush administration seems loaded with such psycho-ceramics (crack-pots). Out of 185 nations only the Bush administration and the Vatican recently blocked a world wide sex education program sponsored by the United Nations. The Vatican obviously does not want those sweet little choir boys sexually educated. The priests are available for their perverse instruction.

The sexuality of Jesus is very obvious in the paintings. Jesus was a Hebrew male, a man in the fullest sense and a sexual human being in the same sense that all men are sexual human beings.

Viruses of the mind

A child comes into the world, born an atheist as all babies are, and then is quickly indoctrinated with the religious virus of his or her parents and culture. A child through enculturation absorbs the culture of his, or her people. Enculturation is the process by which an individual learns the patterns of the family;

Children, through innocence, believe everything the parents tell them. They believe in the “tooth fairy”…”Santa Claus”…”The Easter bunny”…”witches changing princes into frogs”…”a man being born of a virgin”…”a man who could rise up from the dead”…”walk on water” and so forth. Children, being gullible, are easy prey for mental infections. It is easy for a child’s consciousness to be exploited by a mind virus that is identical in nature to a computer virus or a biological virus.

The helpless young are easy victims of an insidious propaganda regardless of how ignorant or bigoted.

Maude Featherhead

Let me tell you folks on this Mother’s Day how proud I am to be married to Clyde Featherhead. My name is Maude Featherhead. I am also known as Mrs. Clyde Featherhead.

My husband and I believe every word of that bible literally, without error, written by God himself and dictated by him personally. So, we are now members of the Church of God Number Two. We broke away from the Church of God Number One over a theological dispute. It had to do with who God said it was O.K. for you to sleep with. Now folks…thats important. You see, King Solomon had 700 wives and 300 concubines, sleeping buddies. Thats in 1 Kings, chapter 1. The Word of God also tells me that in old age King David’s servants brought him a young virgin “that my Lord may get heat.” (sure beats an electric blanket.) So, you see, in Church of God Number Two, we say that the commandment about adultery was meant by God only for us small, common, little, unimportant folks.

But the big folks..the hot shots…kings and politicians…power brokers…hey man…got damn…go for it.
